Agri export consultancy for Africa: from farm to foreign buyer
We are exporters first and consultants second, which is why development programmes, governments, exporters and processors across Africa call us when they want results measured in containers shipped and contracts signed rather than in reports. From Nairobi we work in Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, Ethiopia, the DRC and across the continent.

Clients
Who we work with across Africa
Our clients are exporters preparing for their first European or Gulf programme, processors seeking buyers for oil, dried fruit or purees, cooperatives and outgrower schemes organising for export, investors assessing orchards and packhouses, and donors and governments running horticulture value chain programmes. We bring our own trading experience, our audited supply base and our global buyer databases to every engagement.

Process
How an engagement typically runs
Diagnose
A scoping call and, where needed, a site visit to farms, packhouses or factories, producing a gap assessment against the target market and buyer requirements.
Prepare
Certification, documentation, product specification, pricing and samples, so that the first buyer meeting is a commercial conversation rather than a compliance discussion.
Connect and ship
Buyer introductions from our databases and trade fair meetings, support through the first programme and claims, and hand over to a repeatable export routine.
Questions buyers ask
Before you book a call
Which African countries do you work in?
Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda and Burundi are our home markets, and we take assignments across East, Central, Southern and West Africa and North Africa, on site or remotely.
Do you work with development programmes and governments?
Yes. We design and implement market linkage, export readiness and value chain components for donor funded and government programmes, with results reported in shipments, contracts and certifications.
Can you find buyers for our product?
Yes. Buyer linkage is our core service. We hold Global Buyer Databases for fresh avocado, fresh chilli and fresh herbs and an active network for oils, nuts, dried fruit and purees, built through trade fairs and our own trading.
How do you charge?
Fixed scope assignments, retained monthly advisory, success fees on buyer linkage, or programme sub-contracts. We send a short proposal with scope, timeline and fee after a scoping call.
Do you also buy and export fruit yourselves?
Yes. Konza Tropicals grows and exports avocados and trades other East African produce and value added products, which is why our advice is grounded in current prices, buyer requirements and logistics.
Can you help us raise finance for export or an orchard?
Yes. We prepare investment and finance cases, structure pre-export and invoice finance, and introduce clients to banks, impact investors and development finance institutions active in East Africa.

Our partners
Independent quality control and transparent trade, built into every shipment
Two partners work alongside our own team on every export programme, so buyers see the fruit before it sails and know the price before they commit.

Fruit Quality Studio Africa
Independent avocado quality control, the Kenyan arm of Quality Studio Europe. Every consignment is inspected at the packhouse before loading, with a preloading QC report on dry matter, defects, sizing and pulp temperature shared with the buyer, and arrival inspections on request in Europe.

SAFTA, Fruit Trade Assistance
Our partner international sourcing platform. SAFTA connects our fresh avocados to retailers, importers and buyers in Europe in a vertically integrated way: fixed and transparent pricing, cold chain from packhouse to destination, reliable buyer connections and SAFTA Rescue support for shipments in European ports, so growers and importers both know where they stand.
