Kenyan Hass avocado exporter to China
Kenya became the first African country to ship fresh Hass avocados to China under the 2022 protocol, and our plantations and packhouses are registered with GACC for the Chinese market. We supply importers and distributors in Shanghai, Shenzhen, Guangzhou and Beijing with fresh Hass, macadamia, frozen avocado, avocado oil and dried fruit.

Chinese demand for avocados grows every year and Kenya offers a counter season to Peru, Chile and Mexico with shorter transit via the Indian Ocean. Chinese buyers also know Kenya for macadamia, where Kenyan kernels and nut in shell supply the world's largest macadamia market. We combine fresh avocado programmes with macadamia, frozen avocado and avocado oil from one counterpart.

Kenyan Hass peaks from April to August and Tanzanian Hass from November to March, so Hass is available all year from our East African origins; pineapple, passion fruit, herbs and all value added products ship all year.

Before you request an offer for China
Are your orchards and packhouses registered with GACC for China?
Yes. We export fresh Hass from GACC registered orchards and packhouses in accordance with the Kenya–China avocado protocol, with KEPHIS inspection on every consignment.
How long does shipping from Kenya to China take?
Twenty five to thirty days from Mombasa to Shanghai or Shenzhen, usually with transhipment in Colombo, Singapore or Port Klang. We use controlled atmosphere containers to protect fruit on the longer voyage.
Which avocado sizes do you ship to China?
Sizes 14 to 24 are most requested by Chinese retail and e-commerce, packed in 4 kg cartons with Chinese labelling and GACC registration numbers.
Do you supply macadamia to China?
Yes. Kenyan macadamia nut in shell and kernels ship to Chinese processors and brands all year from HACCP certified facilities.
How do we see the quality before the container sails?
Fruit Quality Studio Africa, the Kenyan arm of Quality Studio Europe, inspects every consignment at the packhouse and issues a preloading QC report on dry matter, defects, sizing and pulp temperature, which we share with you before the vessel departs.
Can you start with a trial order?
Yes. Most programmes begin with one container, or a pallet by air for herbs, chillies and samples, before moving to weekly or fortnightly programme volumes.
