Specifications

How buyer specifications are agreed

Before an offer we agree variety, class, size range, ripeness at dispatch, carton and pallet format, quantity and frequency, air or sea, Incoterm, destination and the shipment window. Products are selected, processed and packed to agreed buyer specifications and destination requirements.

Quality control and documents

How quality is controlled and documents are shared

Every shipment undergoes preloading quality control at origin. Fruit Quality Studio Africa is our appointed independent quality control partner for preloading inspections at origin, and the preloading report is shared with the buyer. Arrival inspection is coordinated between Konza Tropicals and the buyer. Documents typically include the KEPHIS phytosanitary certificate, any treatment certificate the importing country requires, certificate of origin where the importer requires it, the preloading quality control report, packing list and commercial invoice.

Availability and shipment

How availability and shipment arrangements are confirmed

The Kenyan mango season typically runs from around December to March, with the Coast and Eastern regions staggering supply. These windows are typical, not an availability promise; availability and shipment dates are confirmed in each offer. Mango ships by air from Nairobi and, for suitable programmes, by sea from Mombasa.
