Peru, Chile, Colombia and Brazil: avocado partnerships with Konza Tropicals
South America grows and exports more Hass avocados than any region after Mexico, and its exporters, oil processors and importers face the same questions we do in Kenya: how to supply European and Asian customers all year, how to add value to fruit outside export grade, and where to grow next. Konza Tropicals grows, packs and exports Kenyan Hass with a peak from April to August, processes avocado oil, and advises exporters and investors across East Africa. We work with Peruvian, Chilean and Colombian exporters on counter season and multi origin programmes and oil, with Brazilian importers and manufacturers as a supplier, and with South American investors and technology companies entering East Africa.

Buyers
Built for South American exporters, oil processors, Brazilian importers and investors
Peruvian exporters peak from May to September, overlapping Kenya in Europe but not in the Gulf, India and China, where Kenya's transit is a fraction of theirs. Chilean exporters peak from September to February and import for their own market in autumn. Colombian exporters supply Europe all year and want origins closer to Asia. Brazilian importers buy Hass from Chile and Peru and are looking for competitive origins from November to March, when Tanzanian Hass peaks. Avocado oil processors across the region want additional crude supply and routes to European buyers. Our 200 hectare plantation, registered partner orchards in Kenya and Tanzania, our oil processing and our consultancy give each of them a single East African counterpart.

Questions buyers ask
Before you request an offer for South America
Why would a Peruvian or Colombian exporter work with a Kenyan grower?
Because Kenya is 7 to 12 days from the Gulf and 20 to 30 days from India and China, markets where South American fruit spends five or six weeks at sea, and because a second origin lets you serve European customers in the weeks when your own fruit is scarce or expensive.
Can Brazilian importers buy Hass from East Africa?
Yes, from November to March when Tanzanian Hass peaks, shipped to Santos in 30 to 35 days via transshipment with controlled atmosphere. Import duty and phytosanitary requirements are confirmed with your broker and plant health authority before the first shipment.
Can a South American oil company buy crude avocado oil from Kenya?
Yes. We supply cold pressed crude avocado oil in flexitanks or drums with a batch certificate of analysis and retained samples, and we can market oil jointly to the European refiners and brands in our buyer database.
Can South American companies invest in orchards or processing in Kenya?
Yes. Kenya allows foreign ownership, offers Special Economic Zone incentives and long land leases, and we structure equity, joint venture and project level investment as described on our investment and partnerships page; details follow a confidentiality agreement.
Do you correspond in Spanish and Portuguese?
Yes. Our team corresponds in Spanish and English, Spanish language pages are at /es/, and we arrange Portuguese speaking support for Brazilian partners.
Can we visit before deciding?
Yes. Due diligence visits to the Rift Valley orchards, a working packhouse and cold store and our processing operations are organised from Nairobi or Nakuru, with quality testing on site.

Our partners
Independent quality control and transparent trade, built into every shipment
Two partners work alongside our own team on every export programme, so buyers see the fruit before it sails and know the price before they commit.

Fruit Quality Studio Africa
Independent avocado quality control, the Kenyan arm of Quality Studio Europe. Every consignment is inspected at the packhouse before loading, with a preloading QC report on dry matter, defects, sizing and pulp temperature shared with the buyer, and arrival inspection in Europe on request or as agreed per programme.

SAFTA, Fruit Trade Assistance: Sales Execution Office, Antwerp
Our partner Sales Execution Office in Antwerp, Belgium. SAFTA is not a buyer of our fruit: it sells Konza Tropicals avocados on our behalf to retailers, importers and ripeners across Europe and executes each programme from offer to payment, with fixed and transparent pricing, programme contracts, cold chain from packhouse to destination and SAFTA Rescue support for shipments in European ports, so growers and importers both know where they stand.
