Export markets

Kenyan avocado and avocado oil exporter to Morocco

Morocco has become an avocado producer and exporter in its own right, with Hass from the Gharb and Loukkos plains harvested from October to April. From May to October Moroccan supermarkets, wholesalers and the hospitality trade in Casablanca, Rabat, Marrakech and Tangier import, and Kenyan Hass peaks in exactly those months. We supply Moroccan importers through Casablanca and Tanger Med, and we supply crude and refined avocado oil to Morocco's cosmetics industry, which already exports argan based products worldwide and is adding avocado oil to its formulations.

Buyers

Built for Moroccan importers, retail chains and cosmetics manufacturers

Moroccan buyers know avocado quality from their own orchards and expect the same dry matter, sizing and ripening behaviour from imports. Casablanca importers serving Marjane, Carrefour Maroc and the wholesale markets want a reliable summer origin; cosmetics manufacturers in Casablanca, Agadir and Marrakech want refined avocado oil with a COA and the documentation their formulators need. Our own 200 hectare plantation and registered partner orchards give us the summer volume, our processing gives us control of the oil, and independent preloading inspection on every consignment gives your quality team the data before the vessel sails. Our French language pages support Moroccan buying teams.

Questions buyers ask

Before you request an offer for Morocco

When does Morocco import avocados?

Moroccan Hass from the Gharb and Loukkos regions is harvested from about October to April. Imports run from May to October, which is the Kenyan peak, so Kenyan Hass is the natural summer supply for Moroccan retailers and wholesalers.

Is Kenyan fruit duty free in Morocco?

Kenya and Morocco are both AfCFTA parties and preferential duty applies as tariff schedules are implemented; until then Moroccan most favoured nation duty and VAT apply. Your customs broker confirms the rate per tariff line and we issue the certificate of origin required.

Can Moroccan cosmetics manufacturers buy refined avocado oil from you?

Yes. Refined avocado oil ships in 190 kg drums, 1,000 litre IBCs or flexitanks with a certificate of analysis per batch and the documentation your formulators and safety assessors require; samples are couriered before the first order.

Do you label in Arabic and French?

Yes. Cartons, consumer packs and oil drums can be labelled in Arabic and French with your private label on programme volumes.

How do we see the quality before the container sails?

Fruit Quality Studio Africa, the Kenyan arm of Quality Studio Europe, inspects every consignment at the packhouse and issues a preloading QC report on dry matter, defects, sizing and pulp temperature, which we share with you before the vessel departs.

Can you start with a trial order?

Yes. Most programmes for Morocco begin with one container to Casablanca, or a pallet by air for herbs, chillies and samples, before moving to fortnightly or weekly programme volumes.

SAFTA, Fruit Trade Assistance: Sales Execution Office, Antwerp

Our partner Sales Execution Office in Antwerp, Belgium.
