Mexican avocado companies: partner with Konza Tropicals in East Africa
Mexico is the world's avocado leader, and Mexican packers, exporters, oil processors, nurseries and equipment makers are looking beyond Michoacán and Jalisco for growth. Kenya offers them what Mexico cannot: duty free entry to the European Union and the United Kingdom, 20 to 28 day transit to European ports and 7 to 12 days to the Gulf, a peak season from April to August, and a young industry that needs the agronomy, packing and oil extraction expertise Mexico has built over decades. Konza Tropicals grows, packs and exports avocados, processes avocado oil and advises exporters and investors across East Africa, and this page sets out how Mexican companies work with us.

Buyers
Built for Mexican packers, exporters, oil processors, nurseries and equipment makers
Mexican exporters with European and Gulf customers want a second origin that lands duty free and closer to the market; Mexican avocado oil companies want additional crude oil supply and, increasingly, processing capacity near European and Asian buyers; Mexican nurseries, irrigation and packing line suppliers want a credible local partner for East Africa's fast growing plantings. We offer all three routes from one group: fruit from our 200 hectare plantation and registered partner orchards, crude oil from our processing and the processors we have set up, and feasibility, implementation and local partner services from our consultancy, which has taken more than 30 first time exporters to market since 2023.

Questions buyers ask
Before you request an offer for Mexico
Why would a Mexican exporter source avocados from Kenya?
Because Kenyan Hass lands in the EU and UK duty free, reaches European ports in 20 to 28 days and the Gulf in 7 to 12, and peaks from April to August. A second origin lets a Mexican exporter serve European and Asian customers all year at lower landed cost.
Can a Mexican avocado oil company buy crude oil from Kenya?
Yes. We supply cold pressed crude avocado oil in flexitanks or drums with a batch certificate of analysis and retained samples, from our own processing and from the East African processors we have set up, against annual or multi year offtake.
Can Mexican companies invest in orchards or processing in Kenya?
Yes. Kenya allows foreign ownership, offers Special Economic Zone incentives and long land leases, and we structure equity, joint venture and project level investment as described on our investment and partnerships page; details follow a confidentiality agreement.
Do you represent Mexican nursery and equipment suppliers in East Africa?
Yes. We act as local partner for supply and install, pilot orchards and training, and introduce suppliers to the orchards and processors in our grower register across Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda and Burundi.
Do you correspond in Spanish?
Yes. Our team corresponds in Spanish and English, and Spanish language pages are at /es/.
Can we visit before deciding?
Yes. Due diligence visits to the Rift Valley orchards, a working packhouse and cold store and our processing operations are organised from Nairobi or Nakuru, with quality testing on site.

Our partners
Independent quality control and transparent trade, built into every shipment
Two partners work alongside our own team on every export programme, so buyers see the fruit before it sails and know the price before they commit.

Fruit Quality Studio Africa
Independent avocado quality control, the Kenyan arm of Quality Studio Europe. Every consignment is inspected at the packhouse before loading, with a preloading QC report on dry matter, defects, sizing and pulp temperature shared with the buyer, and arrival inspection in Europe on request or as agreed per programme.

SAFTA, Fruit Trade Assistance: Sales Execution Office, Antwerp
Our partner Sales Execution Office in Antwerp, Belgium. SAFTA is not a buyer of our fruit: it sells Konza Tropicals avocados on our behalf to retailers, importers and ripeners across Europe and executes each programme from offer to payment, with fixed and transparent pricing, programme contracts, cold chain from packhouse to destination and SAFTA Rescue support for shipments in European ports, so growers and importers both know where they stand.
